Ron CrabtreeHere in Michigan, the flowers are blooming and business is booming! It looks like the economy is headed in the right direction; are you and your organization able to pick up the pace? MetaOps MagEzine has a great issue this beautiful June, and I think you’ll find quite a bit to keep you occupied.

Our featured article this month comes from Michael Phillips: The Future of Social Media and its Impact. This is part II of a three-part series begun earlier this year, and we’ve been looking forward to seeing more on this topic. Michael shows us how to set social media priorities, as well as monitor our brand health and operational efficiency. He also demonstrates some handy tools for these activities.

Next, Mark Zabel talks about meeting uncertainty head-on. It’s surprising how much of our data can be misinterpreted, or even just plain misleading. Mark has some great ideas on making sure our statistics don’t lie by evaluating more than just averages.

Are you a supervisor or a leader? Walt McIntyre presents his take on this management issue and shows significant insight on the difference between those two titles. Optimally, all supervisors and managers should be leaders; here’s how you can foster that attitude in your own organization.

Finally, Nick Arvis asks some very thought-provoking questions about winning the War for Talent. The United States is spending far more on education per student, and reaping less progress than other nations. What can you do to attract and keep knowledge workers?

Our featured consultant this month is Mike Ogorek. Mike is a digital marketing strategist and consultant with more than 20 years of experience as a business owner and entrepreneur in the IT industry. Mike gives us a look at one of his recent successes.

I’d like to take a moment to ask our readers: What type of content are you most interested in? Have you read anything in the MagEzine that you disagree with, or that you have comments about? Please let us know, either by commenting on the article or by sending in your own Letter to the Editor. We look forward to hearing from you!

Before I sign off, I’d like to extend an opportunity for you to gain more exposure by becoming one of MetaOps MagEzine’s contributing writers. You’ll benefit by having your content accessible in one more media outlet and will be positioned with other thought leaders in the industry. If you think you might have some insights to share, please use this link to be contacted with more information.

Wishing you the best,

Ron Crabtree
